Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Croatia: Weather Change on the Horizon

Residents across Croatia are advised to prepare for a shift in weather patterns as rain and thunderstorms are forecasted from Wednesday through Friday. After a period of sunshine, the country will experience more unsettled conditions, particularly inland. Meteorologists from the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) have provided detailed forecasts, indicating that while Tuesday might offer warm temperatures in eastern Croatia, the latter part of the week will bring a mix of showers and potential storms.

In central Croatia and regions like Lika and Gorski Kotar, the weather is expected to be variable, with daily temperatures ranging from moderate to warm. However, scattered showers are possible, especially in the southern parts of these regions. Along the Adriatic coast, particularly in Dalmatia, while sunny periods are anticipated, there's also a likelihood of rain, especially in the northern parts and offshore. The sea breeze, a jugo wind, is expected to pick up, potentially becoming strong in some areas.

The DHMZ's outlook suggests that the change is not just a brief interruption but a more significant shift. The forecast for Wednesday to Friday points to intermittent rain and possible afternoon thunderstorms on the mainland, accompanied by southerly winds that will maintain mild temperatures. On the coast, strong jugo winds are predicted for Wednesday and Thursday, with intermittent rain and showers continuing into Friday, albeit with weaker winds. Od srijede do petka na kopnu promjenjivo. Povremeno kiša, a mogući su i lokalni pljuskovi s grmljavinom u popodnevnim satima. Uz jugozapadni vjetar zadržat će se podjednako toplo kao u utorak. Na Jadranu u srijedu i četvrtak ponegdje jako jugo, uz povremenu kišu, a može biti i pljuskova koji su izgledni i u petak kada bi jugo trebalo biti slabije. Temperatura zraka bez veće promjene.
