Real Madrid Increases Offer to 115 Million Euros for Young Star Yan Diomande

Real Madrid has submitted a second, improved offer of 115 million euros for RB Leipzig's highly-rated 19-year-old forward, Yan Diomande. German broadcaster Sky reports that the Bundesliga club has not yet rejected the bid, though negotiations continue over the finer details of the potential transfer.

RB Leipzig is reportedly seeking a larger portion of the fee as a fixed amount, with a smaller percentage allocated to performance-based bonuses. Diomande joined Leipzig from Spanish side Leganes just a year ago for 20 million euros. In his sole season with the German team, the Ivorian international has impressed, scoring 12 goals and contributing nine assists.

Should the transfer materialize at the reported figure, Diomande would not only shatter the club record for a transfer fee at RB Leipzig but also become the most expensive African footballer ever. This would surpass the current record held by his compatriot Nicolas Pepe, whom Arsenal signed from Lille for 80 million euros in 2019.

Diomande's potential move also means he would be the first player transferred for a fee exceeding 100 million euros. His impressive debut season has attracted significant attention from top European clubs, with Real Madrid now appearing to be in pole position to secure his signature.
