Real Madrid signs Yan Diomande for seven seasons

Real Madrid has secured the transfer of Ivory Coast international Yan Diomande from German club RB Leipzig, announcing the agreement for a seven-season contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until June 30, 2033. The signing marks a significant addition to Real Madrid's squad.

Diomande is no stranger to Spanish football, having debuted professionally with Leganés in March 2025, notably in a match against Real Madrid. His move to RB Leipzig saw him perform well in the Bundesliga, earning him the title of best rookie in the German league. Last season, he recorded 12 goals and 9 assists in 33 appearances, adding a goal and an assist in the German Cup.

Internationally, Diomande represented Ivory Coast at the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. He was recognized as the best player in his team's opening match against Ecuador. This transfer makes Diomande Real Madrid's fifth signing of the summer window, following deals for Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva, and Denzel Dumfries.
