Rewarding Grab Driver and Two Police Officers for Capturing Young Man Stealing iPhone Mid-Bridge

Tuổi Trẻ commends the swift and courageous actions of a Grab driver and two traffic police officers who apprehended a thief in Hue City, preventing the theft of a valuable iPhone.

The incident, which occurred on the evening of April 30th, saw a suspect, Truong Ngoc Thuyen, seize an iPhone from a group of students in Phu Xuan Park. When discovered, Thuyen attempted to escape towards Phu Xuan Bridge.

It was on this bridge that Nguyen Huu Hieu, a Grab driver, demonstrated remarkable bravery by intercepting and detaining the fleeing thief. His decisive action was quickly followed by the arrival of Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Vinh and Major Hoang Xuan Tien of the Hue City Traffic Police, who were on patrol and promptly assisted in securing the suspect.

This act of civic duty and bravery is being recognized by the Hue City Police Department with an official commendation. Tuổi Trẻ highlights this event not just as a successful crime prevention, but as an example of community members and law enforcement working together.
