Singapore’s Marina Square Mall to Close in March 2027 for Redevelopment

Marina Square Shopping Mall will close on March 31, 2027, as Singapore’s Marina Centre complex undergoes a major transformation into a mixed-use destination.

Singapore Land Group said the 9.2-hectare redevelopment is expected to be completed by 2031. The existing Pan Pacific Singapore, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay and Mandarin Oriental Singapore hotels will stay open throughout construction.

The project will add three towers to the complex. A 49-storey residential tower, rising more than 190 meters, will contain 204 luxury apartments and penthouses. A separate 19-storey tower will combine a 304-room hotel with about 13,000 square meters of Grade A office space. A 24-storey serviced apartment tower will offer 260 units overlooking Marina Bay and Bay East Garden.

The four-storey mall will receive an asset enhancement overhaul covering more than 76,000 square meters. Its new retail mix will emphasize food and beverage, sports, wellness and lifestyle concepts, with landscaped and pet-friendly areas. The mall will also connect the surrounding hotels, offices, residences and public spaces.

The plans include a sheltered walkway and elevated botanical loop linking Marina Square with One Raffles Link, Millenia Walk, Suntec City and the upcoming NS Square. A 6,500-square-meter public park above Stamford Canal will include greenery, play areas and event spaces. More than 4,000 square meters of privately owned public space will connect directly to NS Square, while a 700-square-meter event venue called The Cube is planned along Raffles Boulevard.
