Slovenia Launches 31st Lifelong Learning Week with Nationwide Events

Slovenia is embracing a nationwide celebration of learning with the commencement of the 31st Lifelong Learning Week (TVU). This significant event, kicking off with a national opening in Slovenj Gradec, underscores the country's commitment to fostering a culture of continuous personal and professional development.

Over the next five weeks, from May 8 to June 14, TVU will transform communities across Slovenia, both urban and rural, indoors and outdoors. With an ambitious schedule of 6,000 diverse activities—including workshops, lectures, courses, and exhibitions—the initiative promises to engage citizens of all ages. The core message is an invitation to embrace personal growth, acquire new knowledge and skills, and strengthen social bonds.

This year's TVU is a testament to collaborative effort, with 1,500 organizers and 39 coordinators working under the national guidance of the Andragoški center Slovenije. The values promoted—civility, knowledge, skills, peace, equality, health of body and mind, modernity, progress, and harmonious coexistence—resonate deeply within our society.
