Solís Theatre offers paid internships for Physical Education students

The Solís Theatre, in collaboration with the University of the Republic's Institute of Physical Education (ISEF), has announced a call for paid internships. This initiative aims to provide valuable experience for students pursuing a degree in Physical Education while supporting the theatre's public engagement efforts.

The internships are designed to create an ordered list of applicants for various public relations roles at the theatre. Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting visitors both in person and over the phone. Their duties will include providing information about the theatre's programming and services, as well as offering insights into points of interest within Montevideo.

Interns will also participate in guided tours, manage spectator reception and seating, and perform basic checks to ensure the smooth running of events. Additionally, they will contribute to institutional projects and provide operational support. The roles require flexibility, as work will involve weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in ISEF's Physical Education program, have completed at least 72 credits, and be between 18 and 25 years old by November 1, 2026. Applicants cannot hold other paid employment with social security contributions or have previously undertaken internships in state organizations. Required documents include a valid ID, health card, criminal record certificate, and proof of enrollment.

Applications are open for 15 business days from the publication date, closing on August 28, 2026. Interested students should email their documentation to concursos@isef.udelar.edu.uy with the subject line "PASANTIAS IM." The internships have an initial duration of one year, with a possible one-year extension, involving a 25-hour work week. The remuneration is set at approximately $39,925.41 Uruguayan pesos per month, based on the University of the Republic's salary scale for a Grade 1 lecturer.
