Spanish Foreign Minister Arrives in Dominican Republic for Latin American Tour

Spain's top diplomat, Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares, has commenced the second stage of his significant tour of Latin America with his arrival in the Dominican Republic. This visit underscores the robust and enduring relationship between Spain and the Dominican Republic, highlighting a shared commitment to multilateral cooperation and bilateral interests.

Albares' itinerary in Santo Domingo is packed, beginning with an important business encounter at the Spanish Embassy. The following day, the minister will engage in high-level diplomatic discussions with his Dominican counterpart, Roberto Álvarez. The Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this visit is a reciprocal gesture following the meeting between the two chancellors in Madrid in May 2025.
