'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Earns $1 Billion Globally in Six Days, Sets Box Office Records

The latest installment, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," has achieved a remarkable global revenue of US$1.05 billion within its first six days of release. This box office success makes it the second-fastest film in history to reach the billion-dollar mark, trailing only "Avengers: Endgame" from 2019.

The film has demonstrated immense popularity both domestically and internationally. It garnered US$407 million in North America and US$645.8 million from global markets. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" also shattered records upon its July 31, 2026, theatrical debut, achieving the biggest domestic opening weekend of all time with US$360 million. Furthermore, it set new benchmarks for the highest opening day and Thursday-opening gross in North American box office history.

Adding to its accolades, the movie recorded the highest Monday gross ever, raking in US$47 million and surpassing the previous record held by "Black Panther" in 2018. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shared his astonishment at the film's performance, particularly its success in breaking the domestic opening weekend record in North America. He conveyed his surprise and delight that this 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe achieved such a feat.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" marks Tom Holland's fourth solo appearance as Peter Parker, following "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021. The film is also the fourth movie of 2026 to cross the US$1 billion global revenue threshold, joining the ranks of "Toy Story 5," "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," and "Michael."
