Sportivo 2 de Mayo continued their impressive run in the Clausura 2026 tournament, securing a vital 2-1 away victory against Recoleta FC. The win, achieved on Friday, solidifies their status as the sole leaders in the league standings.

The "Gallo," as 2 de Mayo is known, took an early lead through a header from Alberto Espínola. The goal stemmed from a precise cross by Alexis Fariña, who found Espínola unmarked in the box.
