These criminal organizations have established deep roots and have grown considerably in scope, allowing them to operate persistently, particularly around airports.

He acknowledged existing gaps in border control systems that are exploited for the movement of illicit substances. Both Malaysian citizens and foreign nationals are involved in obtaining and attempting to smuggle drugs out of the country via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Despite frequent arrests, the syndicates' ability to find and exploit even minor weaknesses in the existing control systems ensures the continuous flow of drugs. Despite these challenges, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) remain committed to combating drug trafficking. Hussein affirmed that PDRM will intensify enforcement, bolster intelligence gathering, and focus on crippling the financial power of these drug syndicates. "However, we do not give up.
