This architectural transformation and structural strengthening will not only improve the market’s appearance, but also ensure safety.

Stalls on the ground floor and trading areas on the first floor will be grouped according to the types of goods sold. The new zoning is intended to make visitor movement more orderly and help shoppers find products more easily. Parking arrangements and vehicle routes will also be redesigned to improve traffic entering and leaving the market.

Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director Agus Himawan said the revitalization should make the market more comfortable for visitors and better able to compete with modern shopping centers. He said the company would carry out the work fairly, transparently and professionally.

The market has operated since 1992 and remains an economic activity center for residents in the area. It occupies 9,239 square meters of land, with a 8,141.48-square-meter building spanning two and a half floors.
