The company's statement, reported by Chinese state media, explicitly declared that顏文群 was removed from all his positions in both its Taiwan-based operations and its Shanggao county company, effective April 7.

This action follows previous reports by pro-Beijing Hong Kong media alleging that顏文群 was profiting from investments in China and providing political donations to his aunt. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has publicly supported Rong Carbon's decision, with spokesperson Chen Binhua stating that "Taiwan independence" is a dead end that harms Taiwan and its people. He emphasized that such actions would not be tolerated and that individuals supporting "Taiwan independence" and their relatives would not be allowed to profit in mainland China.
