Taoiseach defends fuel support amid rising costs

Martin also addressed the war in Iran, expressing hope for its end and dismissing claims that Ireland is facilitating the conflict due to a clerical error in recording military overflights. Separately, Tánaiste Simon Harris indicated a desire to advance income tax changes in the upcoming budget, arguing it's a key way to help families manage the cost-of-living crisis. Harris cautioned that the global situation remains volatile but expressed confidence that the Irish economy is resilient and expected to continue growing, albeit at a slower pace.
