Technician Dies, Two Children Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on LPT2

A tragic accident on the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) has claimed the life of Rosli Yusuf, a 54-year-old technician, and left his two daughters injured. The collision, involving a trailer, a Mitsubishi Triton, and a Proton X50, occurred near the Kijal Rest and Treatment Area. The incident, which happened around 6 p.m., underscores the persistent dangers of Malaysian highways, particularly the LPT2, which has a history of serious accidents.

According to Kemaman District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd. Razi Rosli, the trailer driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle, causing it to swerve and collide with the Mitsubishi Triton carrying Rosli and his daughters. The impact pushed both vehicles towards the opposite lane, where they then collided with a Proton X50. The severity of the crash resulted in Rosli's immediate death at the scene, while his daughters, Iliya Markisa (23) and Auni Ukhratan Basyirah (14), suffered head, neck, and facial injuries. They were promptly transported to Kemaman Hospital for treatment.
