Teenager shot dead in Malvín Norte after four men storm his home

A fatal shooting occurred Friday afternoon in Malvín Norte, Uruguay, when four armed individuals stormed a residence and killed a teenager. The victim was inside a bedroom when the assailants, who arrived on two motorcycles, entered the house and opened fire.

Emergency services were alerted by a 911 call reporting an injured person. Upon arrival at the scene, located at the intersection of Rufino Dominguez and Ciudad de Azul, police discovered 30 shell casings. Scientific police units processed the crime scene as authorities launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Separately, in the same neighborhood and at the same intersection, a woman was robbed by a person on horseback earlier in the week. Video footage showed the thief approaching the woman's vehicle, stealing her cell phone, and then escaping on the horse. Police pursued the suspect, who abandoned the horse and fled on foot, but managed to recover the animal. Investigations are ongoing to identify the individual responsible for the horse-riding robbery.
