Abia State Governor Alex Otti has confidently declared that the Labour Party has successfully navigated its most turbulent phase, signaling a new era of unity and purpose. Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja, Otti asserted that 'the worst is over,' and the party has emerged stronger from its recent elective convention held in Umuahia. He commended the resilience of the NWC members, led by Nenadi Usman, and urged them to prioritize service and unity, reminding them that 'the party must speak with one voice.' The governor's optimistic outlook is bolstered by ongoing reconciliation efforts, which have already seen significant participation from former opposing factions, including over 25 state chairmen. Otti extended an open invitation for reconciliation, even for former national chairman Julius Abure, emphasizing a 'no victor, no vanquished' approach. This inclusive strategy aims to consolidate the party's strength as it prepares to contest the 2027 general elections, presenting a united front to Nigerians.
