Tomas Dimša signs with Spanish club Leyma

Lithuanian basketball player Tomas Dimša is embarking on a new chapter in his career, signing with the Spanish club Leyma. The team officially announced the acquisition on Sunday afternoon, though the contract's duration remains undisclosed. Leyma recently secured promotion to Spain's top division, where they will compete in the 2024-2025 season.

At 32 years old, Dimša will reunite with fellow Lithuanian Lukas Uleckas, who also joined Leyma this summer from Utenos Juventus. This move marks Dimša's return to Spain, having previously played for Gran Canaria (2020-2021) and Casademont Zaragoza (2024-2025).

Last season, the 196 cm tall guard played for PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece. He averaged 12.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in the Greek league, earning a 10.4 efficiency rating. In the FIBA Europe Cup, where PAOK reached the final, Dimša posted similar statistics with 10.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game, achieving a 10.6 efficiency rating.

Dimša also has past experience with Kaunas Žalgiris, playing for them during the 2013-2015 and 2022-2024 seasons. His career also includes stints in Germany and Italy.
