Tottenham Signs Savinho for 87 Million Euros

Tottenham Hotspur has reached an agreement with Manchester City to acquire Brazilian international Savinho for an initial fee of 75 million pounds, potentially rising to 85 million pounds with add-ons. This significant investment marks a major move for the London club as they aim to bolster their squad for European competition.

The transfer fee of 87 million euros makes Savinho's move the most lucrative sale in Manchester City's history, eclipsing the previous record held by Julián Álvarez's transfer to Atlético Madrid. Savinho, who is 22 years old, arrives at Tottenham after a two-year spell at Manchester City, where he made 53 appearances, scored two goals, and registered eleven assists.

Despite a relatively limited role at City, Savinho's value has reportedly doubled since his initial transfer from Troyes, a club also owned by the City Football Group. His previous loan spell at Girona provided valuable experience in La Liga. Tottenham has been active in the transfer market, having already signed Matheus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and Jan Paul Van Hecke, with further reinforcements like Omar Marmoush reportedly being pursued.
