UBSI Dispatches Students for BSI Explore 2026 Community Service in 38 Villages

Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) has officially launched its BSI Explore 2026 program, sending students to 38 villages for a community service initiative. The ceremony, held at the UBSI campus in Jakarta, marked the beginning of a program designed to embody the spirit of collaboration, empowerment, and community development.

Adi Supriyatna, Vice Rector II for Non-Academic Affairs at UBSI, emphasized that BSI Explore is a practical implementation of the university's commitment to community service, one of the core tenets of higher education. He stated that students are expected not only to excel academically but also to provide solutions, build empathy, and contribute meaningfully to society using their acquired knowledge. "BSI Explore is a true learning space for students. In the field, they will learn to understand community life, cooperate, adapt, and apply their knowledge to make a real contribution. We hope all participants uphold the good name of UBSI and use this experience as preparation for future leadership," Supriyatna said.

The program's organizing committee chairman, Ade Suryadi, reported that all participating students have undergone rigorous selection and comprehensive training, ensuring their readiness to serve in their assigned villages. Suryadi highlighted that BSI Explore is more than just a presence in a community; it's about students becoming part of the solution. He expressed hope that the experience would shape students' character, leadership skills, adaptability, and social concern, providing them with essential tools for their post-graduation lives.

The event featured testimonials from UBSI Explore alumni and Field Supervisors (DPL). Alumni shared their experiences, including the challenges of adapting to village life and the valuable lessons learned outside the classroom. DPLs offered motivational advice, urging participants to maintain their collaborative spirit, discipline, and sense of responsibility during their service. The ceremonial send-off included the symbolic presentation of lanyards and essential supplies to representatives from each village, signifying the university's trust in the students to act as UBSI ambassadors and agents of change.
