UBSI Students Donate Web-Based E-Rapor App to Bekasi High School

A university student's thesis project has provided a digital solution for a high school in Bekasi, Indonesia. Rafif Maulana, a Systems Information student at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), developed and donated a web-based E-Rapor application to SMA Islam Rejis Bekasi.

The application aims to digitize the school's academic data management, which was previously handled manually using spreadsheets. This new integrated system promises more effective, rapid, and accurate data processing. It includes features designed for the Merdeka Curriculum, such as student data management, grade input, attendance tracking, automatic grade conversion, and real-time digital report card generation.

The system was built using PHP, CodeIgniter 4 framework, MySQL database, and Bootstrap 5 for the interface. Testing confirmed a 100% success rate for all functions.

The principal of SMA Islam Rejis Bekasi expressed gratitude, stating the application significantly helps in processing grades, which was time-consuming and prone to errors. "The presence of this application is a concrete step in supporting the digitalization of school administration and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum," the principal said.

Muhamad Abdul Ghani, the supervising lecturer, highlighted the project as a practical application of classroom learning, providing direct community benefit. He expressed hope for the application's sustainable use to enhance academic administration efficiency.

The process of processing grades, which previously took quite a long time and had the potential for input errors, can now be done automatically, integrated, and more accurately.
