UMNO warns against third parties disrupting Malay-Islam political unity

UMNO has cautioned parties engaging in alliances with them to prevent external forces from disrupting the unity of Malay-Muslim political groups. The party's Secretary-General, Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, stated that past attempts at building understanding have frequently been undermined by third parties.

He urged relevant parties to refrain from making statements on social media that overstep the highest leadership. Such actions, he warned, create unfavorable perceptions during discussions aimed at fostering understanding and cooperation. Asyraf Wajdi advised against using public media platforms before negotiations begin, noting that in today's borderless world, some individuals might act as 'heroes' by posting statements that cause anxiety within parties and among their members.
