Uruguay ministry seeks psychologist for $85,500 annual salary role

The Uruguayan Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (MVOT) has announced a new job opening for a psychologist with a specialization in occupational health, offering a competitive salary for part-time work.

The position, which entails a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal based on performance and organizational needs, offers a base salary of $85,500 plus VAT for a commitment of just 30 hours per month. This role is designed to address crucial aspects of workplace well-being within the ministry.

Key responsibilities for the hired psychologist will include evaluating and advising on the identification of psychosocial risk factors such as workplace stress and harassment. The role also involves collaborating on analyses of prolonged absenteeism, aiding in labor reintegration, and providing technical advice on occupational safety and hygiene in accordance with national regulations. Furthermore, the psychologist will be tasked with proposing strategies for workplace mental health and promoting psychosocial well-being.

Candidates must hold a degree in Psychology from the University of the Republic or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of one year's experience in psychosocial assessment within the construction, industry, commerce, or services sectors is required. Additional qualifications, such as specialized courses in occupational safety and health or psychosocial assessment, will be considered advantageous.
