Uruguay Weather Forecast for Friday, Sept. 4, 2026: Conditions Expected to Stabilize

Uruguay is expected to have more stable weather on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, according to the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology, known as Inumet. Temperatures across the country will range from 5°C to 20°C, with variable cloud cover and patches of mist or fog.

In the northwest, skies will remain clear to partly cloudy, with periods of heavier cloud and fog during the morning. Southern winds will reach 10 to 30 km/h before easing to 10 to 20 km/h. Temperatures will range from 7°C to 20°C.

The northeast will also see clear to partly cloudy skies, intervals of cloud and localized mist or fog. Winds will come from the south at 10 to 30 km/h in the morning and 10 to 20 km/h later. Temperatures are expected between 6°C and 19°C.

The southwest will begin partly cloudy to cloudy, with mist and fog, before becoming clear to partly cloudy later in the day. Temperatures will range from 6°C to 17°C. In the south-central region, cloudy to overcast skies and fog are forecast in the morning, followed by partly cloudy and cloudy conditions, with temperatures between 5°C and 17°C.

The east, including Punta del Este, will start cloudy with mist and fog. Later, Punta del Este should become clear to partly cloudy, while the wider eastern region will remain partly cloudy to cloudy. Montevideo and the metropolitan area are expected to begin Friday with cloudy skies, occasional lighter cloud and areas of mist and fog.
