VIDEO: Wike Slams Peter Obi, Says He Seeks 'Where Food Is Ready'

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has launched a sharp critique against Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, questioning his political consistency and leadership capabilities. Wike's remarks, made during a media briefing in Abuja, painted Obi as a political opportunist rather than a principled leader, citing his history of party affiliations.

Wike detailed Obi's past movements, from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and then to the Labour Party, and most recently the African Democratic Congress (ADC). "Obi was in APGA. He couldn’t build the APGA," Wike stated, questioning Obi's ability to foster stability and resolve crises within the parties he joined. He further alleged that Obi "ran away" from the PDP and the Labour Party when faced with internal challenges, suggesting a pattern of avoiding difficult leadership responsibilities.

The FCT Minister's most pointed accusation was that Obi is primarily motivated by self-interest, constantly seeking favorable political environments. "All he is looking for is where food is ready. ‘Mama put’. Who will stabilise if you cannot stabilise?" Wike posited, implying that Obi lacks the commitment to build and sustain political structures. This criticism directly challenges Obi's image as a steadfast leader, framing him instead as someone who drifts from one platform to another in search of personal political gain.
