Warholm, Battocletti, Werro shine at European Athletics Championships; Tamberi wins fourth title

The Alexander Stadium in Birmingham buzzed with excitement as athletes delivered spectacular performances on the fifth day of the European Athletics Championships. Norwegian hurdler Karsten Warholm, Italian distance runner Nadia Battocletti, and Swiss middle-distance runner Audrey Werro were among the stars who shone brightly.

Nadia Battocletti claimed a commanding victory in the women's 10,000 meters, crossing the finish line in 31:41.17. The Italian athlete, who had also won the 5,000m title earlier in the championships, demonstrated remarkable endurance, pulling away from her competitors in the final stretch. Maureen Koster of the Netherlands took silver, and Jana Van Lent of Belgium secured bronze.

In the men's 400m hurdles, Karsten Warholm, a triple world champion and Olympic gold medalist, asserted his dominance. He clocked a championship record of 46.63 seconds to win his fourth continental title. Germany's Emil Agyekum finished second, with Turkey's Ismail Nezir taking third place.

Italian high jumper Gianmarco Tamberi continued his successful streak, adding his fourth European outdoor title to his collection with a jump of 2.32 meters. The men's 800m final provided a thrilling conclusion to the day's events, with Audrey Werro clinching the gold medal in a championship record time of 1:54.81. Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain earned silver, and Femke Bol of the Netherlands took bronze.
