West Java Police Chief Orders Firm Action Against Muggers

West Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Pipit Rismanto has vowed to crack down on street mugging, commonly known as 'begal,' in response to growing public anxiety in Bandung. Rismanto stated that tackling this crime is a top priority, stemming from extensive research and surveys conducted prior to his appointment, which highlighted public concerns about the prevalence of mugging.

Rismanto stressed the importance of community involvement, calling on all citizens, Bhabinkamtibmas officers, and community elements present at the assembly to work together to combat mugging.
