Woman Critically Injured After Ex-Partner Attack in Canelones

A 47-year-old woman is in critical condition in intensive care after being severely assaulted by her ex-partner in La Paz, Canelones. The incident occurred on the streets of Manuel Tiscornia and Treinta y Tres.

Police arrived at the scene following a report of a public disturbance. Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman unconscious and suffering from significant injuries. She was rushed to a medical center and later transferred to intensive care, where her prognosis remains reserved.

Based on witness testimonies and evidence collected at the scene, authorities identified a 41-year-old man with a criminal record as the alleged perpetrator.
