Young Ayden Akbar Set to Make History for Fiji in Aerobic Gymnastics

Fiji's Aerobic Gymnastics program is reaching new heights as young Ayden Akbar prepares to make history. The Lautoka native is poised to become the first male Youth AER International athlete from Flight Club to compete on the international stage, marking a significant milestone for the sport in the country.

Akbar's journey in gymnastics began just last December, with holiday classes quickly leading to his advancement into the Level 3 squad in 2024. His remarkable progress caught the eye of an Australian coach, who selected him for the Youth International level. This achievement is not only a personal triumph for the 11-year-old but also a beacon of inspiration for aspiring young athletes across Fiji.
