10,511 Mindef Staff Receive Outstanding Service Awards, Medals

The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) in Malaysia celebrated its dedicated personnel on May 23, 2026, by bestowing Outstanding Service Awards (APC) and Meritorious Service Medals (PPT) upon 10,511 individuals. This significant recognition highlights the commitment and service rendered by both civilian staff and members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) to the nation's defense. Seramai 10,511 warga Kementerian Pertahanan (Mindef) menerima Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) serta Pingat Perkhidmatan dan Pekerti Terbilang (PPT) Tahun 2026 sebagai pengiktirafan terhadap khidmat dan komitmen mereka kepada negara.

Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari, speaking at the "Jasamu Dikenang" (Your Service Remembered) ceremony, not only congratulated the award recipients but also paid tribute to 172 retirees. He invoked the Malay proverb, "harimau mati meninggalkan belang, manusia mati meninggalkan nama" (a tiger leaves its stripes, a human leaves their name), to emphasize the lasting legacy of those who have served. This sentiment resonates deeply within Malaysian culture, valuing honor and contribution above all else.

Daripada jumlah itu, 871 penerima terdiri daripada penjawat awam kementerian manakala 9,467 lagi melibatkan warga Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) daripada tiga cabang perkhidmatan.
