Ampangan candidate eyes economic hub status

Muhammad Nazri Kassim, a candidate for the Ampangan state seat, is campaigning with a vision to transform the area into Negeri Sembilan's economic growth hub. He believes Ampangan's strategic location, serving as a corridor between the Klang Valley and the East Coast, can be leveraged to boost the local economy.

I want to make Ampangan the economic growth center of Negeri Sembilan if given the mandate by the people on August 1.

Nazri, who previously served as the Director of Negeri Sembilan Foundation, aims to develop the constituency into a business center, particularly focusing on the food sector, local markets, and essential goods. He envisions Ampangan becoming a go-to destination for quality food, driven by local entrepreneurs.

However, the campaign also addresses pressing local concerns. Residents have voiced significant issues regarding flooding, cleanliness, and drainage systems. Nazri acknowledged these problems, noting Ampangan's vulnerability as a valley area with three main rivers prone to overflow. He pledged to improve and maintain the river and drainage systems to prevent future flood damage and address sanitation issues.

This constituency has great potential to be developed as a business hub, especially in the food sector, food sources, farmers' markets, and centers for daily necessities and clothing.

With just a week left in the state election campaign, Nazri is actively engaging with voters, visiting mosques, community centers, and residential areas. He expressed confidence in the positive reception from the people of Ampangan, attributing it to Pakatan Harapan's track record in governing Negeri Sembilan for the past two terms.
