No discussion on using 'Perikatan Barisan Nasional' name

The proposed name "Perikatan Barisan Nasional" (PBN) for the cooperation between Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN) has not been discussed within the coalition, according to PN's election director, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor.

I have never heard of it, it was not in discussions. Maybe he just suggested it for fun, there were no discussions at that level. He is the only one who proposed that term, that name is just 'decoration', there's no need to exaggerate it.

Sanusi, who is also the Kedah Menteri Besar, stated that opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin's suggestion is merely his personal view. "I have never heard of it, it was not in discussions. Maybe he just suggested it for fun, there were no discussions at that level. He is the only one who proposed that term, that name is just 'decoration', there's no need to exaggerate it," Sanusi told reporters.

Media reports had previously indicated that Hamzah suggested the name PBN to avoid confusion among supporters of both political coalitions regarding the understanding formed during the Negeri Sembilan state election. However, Sanusi clarified that the name was not officially considered.

Our target is, of course, to win all 11 seats that we are contesting. Insya-Allah, we pray for good things. Hopefully, victory will be granted.

Meanwhile, Sanusi expressed confidence that PN aims to win all 11 state seats it is contesting in the upcoming elections. He also warned that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) might disappear from the political landscape if it continues to act arrogantly, attack Pas, and refuse to strengthen cooperation among opposition parties. He argued that Bersatu cannot succeed alone and must embrace cooperation with BN and PN, especially in facing future elections.

For so long, he (Bersatu) lived off Pas's votes, but then he 'stabbed' Pas. It won't be long if this attitude remains. Bersatu will 'sink' from this country's politics.
