DAP Increasingly Concerned by BN-PN Alliance Ahead of Negeri Sembilan Elections, Claims Pas Leader

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) is reportedly growing increasingly uneasy about the burgeoning cooperation between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state elections. This concern stems from the perceived success of the BN-PN alliance, which Pas Information Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has dubbed the 'unification of the ummah.'

At this time, the trend of Chinese community voting for DAP is decreasing, and it was clearly seen in previous election series including in Sabah where the party failed to defend even one State Legislative Assembly seat.

Shaari claims that DAP leaders are beginning to realize that voters are embracing this unity, potentially leading to a severe setback for Pakatan Harapan (PH) in Negeri Sembilan. He pointed to a declining trend in Chinese voter support for DAP, citing losses in previous elections, including Sabah and Johor. Shaari suggested that this trend could repeat in Negeri Sembilan, jeopardizing even DAP's traditionally safe seats.

According to Shaari, the 'unification of the ummah' is expected to amplify the rejection of DAP. He outlined a realistic target of 23 seats for the BN-PN coalition in Negeri Sembilan, based on the combined strengths of UMNO and Pas. Shaari noted that UMNO won 14 seats and Pas secured three in the previous state election, with high hopes of retaining seats like Gemenceh and Gemas, totaling 19 seats. He also identified four other state constituencies with high Malay majorities that are open to BN or PN, potentially bringing their total to 23.

Therefore, the target of 23 seats is a realistic target. Moreover, they should not associate the impact on MCA because the Johor PRN has proven that the seats won by MCA have doubled.

Shaari further alleged that DAP is attempting to disrupt the BN-PN cooperation through false narratives, including accusations of racism and racialism against the 'unification of the ummah' concept. He dismissed these claims as slander, suggesting DAP is creating fear and Islamophobia among non-Muslims to distance them from the alliance. Shaari asserted that the people of Negeri Sembilan will not be swayed by such slander and that the 'unification of the ummah' will serve as a powerful tool to defeat PH.

That is the true nature of DAP. The people of Negeri Sembilan will not fall for the slander being spread, instead this gagasan (idea/concept) is welcomed by all the people to become a powerful weapon to defeat PH.
