Ba crowned EPL champions after seven years

Ba Football Club has clinched the 2026 Extra Premier League title, triumphing over Tailevu/Naitasiri with a decisive 6-0 victory. The win at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, ends a seven-year championship drought for the club, affectionately known as the Men in Black. This marks their record 22nd national league title and their first since 2019. Entering the final round match, Ba knew a win would secure the championship, and they delivered a dominant performance for their home supporters. John Orobulu opened the scoring in the 37th minute, setting the tone for the second half. Orobulu went on to complete a hat-trick, with additional goals from Praneel Dayal, Vilitati Kautoga, and Shazil Ali sealing the emphatic win. The victory propelled Ba to 39 points, placing the title beyond the reach of any challengers. This season has been particularly memorable for Ba, as they also completed a domestic double by winning the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT earlier in the year.
