Dr. Syamira Syazuana Zaini, a senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, clarifies that while the decibel level of most bells is unlikely to cause physical hearing damage, the persistent sound can be a significant source of stress for cats.
