FCT CP Orders Probe Into Killing Of AMAC Revenue Staff Member

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is reeling from a shocking act of violence that has claimed the life of one of its own. Oladipupo Akinola, a dedicated revenue staff member of the Abuja Municipal Council (AMAC), was tragically killed last Friday in broad daylight. This incident, which occurred at NITEL Junction in Wuse 2, Abuja, has sent ripples of anger and sorrow through the community.

The FCT Police Command is aware of this tragic incident and the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the identification of the alleged NSCDC officer, the company linked to the vehicle, and all other individuals connected to the matter.

Reports indicate that Akinola and his colleagues were performing their official duties, checking operational permits for vehicles. They stopped a Hilux vehicle belonging to a Chinese company, only to discover its permits were expired. As they attempted to enforce regulations, an altercation ensued with the vehicle's occupants and subsequently with officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) who arrived on the scene. It was during this confrontation that Akinola was fatally shot.
