Four Arrested in Mexico City Linked to Homicide Investigation

Authorities in Mexico City have apprehended four individuals in the Gustavo A. Madero delegation, who are believed to be connected to a grim discovery made just days prior: the body of a man found wrapped in black plastic bags. The victim was located on April 24th at the intersection of Gran Canal del Desagüe and Río de los Remedios avenues, an area bordering the State of Mexico, sparking an immediate investigation by the Public Ministry.

Following the discovery, law enforcement utilized surveillance footage from C2 Norte cameras to identify potential suspects. This analysis led police to focus their attention on the Del Obrero neighborhood, where increased vigilance was implemented. The breakthrough came on April 30th when officers on patrol on Norte 74B street spotted four individuals matching the descriptions obtained from the investigation. Upon noticing the police presence, the group attempted to flee and discarded an object, but they were quickly intercepted.

A subsequent search of the individuals resulted in the seizure of a package containing bulk marijuana and an additional 14 doses of the same drug. The arrested individuals include three men, aged 24, 51, and 72, and one woman, aged 48. They have been handed over to the Public Ministry, which will determine their legal status. Further investigation revealed that the 51-year-old man has a prior criminal record, having been incarcerated in 2005 for robbery.
