Goal is no longer chasing popularity

Sharifah Sofia Syed Hussein, once a familiar face on television, now dedicates her life not to celebrity but to environmental activism and humanitarian causes. The 41-year-old finds greater meaning in leveraging her experience, time, and abilities to benefit others, moving beyond the pursuit of popularity.

She believes everyone has the capacity for growth and change, regardless of age or background, provided they possess the courage to leave their comfort zones. Having started in commercials at age 9 and gained fame in the drama "Spanar Jaya" at 15, Sharifah Sofia has since explored fields aligned with her passions, including diving, environmental conservation, and emergency response.

"We are actually too comfortable for too long, making us too afraid to move and try something new," she stated. "But when we try, we realize we can do more than we thought. Even if we fail, we are still great because we dare to try."

Her commitment extends to challenging herself physically and mentally, seeing these experiences as opportunities to contribute to society and understand her own potential. A particularly impactful experience was her nine-day, 325-kilometer walk from Merapoh to the High Court in Kuala Lumpur, undertaken solely on foot to advocate for animal welfare. This journey tested her physical and mental endurance, pushing her to question the impact of her efforts.
