Three Minors Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car Projected onto Sidewalk in Drumul Taberei

A somber incident unfolded in Bucharest's Drumul Taberei district on Sunday, April 26, when a traffic accident resulted in three minors being struck by a vehicle that had been forced onto a sidewalk. The collision, involving two cars, sent one of the vehicles careening into the unsuspecting pedestrians.

According to the Road Brigade, the alarm was raised via the 112 emergency number, prompting an immediate response from traffic police. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that one of the vehicles, following the initial impact, had mounted the curb and hit the group of three minors who were on the sidewalk.

In the aftermath, four individuals were taken to the hospital for medical attention: the three young pedestrians and one of the drivers. The incident led to traffic disruptions along Drumul Taberei boulevard as authorities managed the scene and initiated an investigation.

While one driver tested negative for alcohol, the other could not be tested due to medical reasons and will have blood samples taken. Police are now working to determine the exact causes and circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event, which has cast a shadow over the community.
