VW Polo goes electric with 450 km range

Volkswagen is accelerating its commitment to electric mobility with the upcoming ID. Polo, a compact electric model poised to set new benchmarks in its segment. Developed in Wolfsburg, the new electric Polo promises generous interior space and high-quality finishes, all at an attractive entry price of 24,995 euros in Germany. This strategic move by VW underscores a significant shift towards electrification, aiming to capture a wider market with an accessible and technologically advanced electric vehicle. The ID. Polo will feature a new, efficient front-wheel-drive system with three power levels. The base models will utilize a 37 kWh LFP battery, offering up to 329 km of range and capable of charging from 10% to 80% in about 23 minutes. Higher-tier versions will boast a 52 kWh battery, extending the range to 454 km and charging to 80% in approximately 24 minutes. This launch is not just about a new car; it's about Volkswagen's broader vision for a sustainable automotive future, making electric driving more attainable for consumers across Europe.
