After a prolonged period of colder conditions, Lithuania is finally set to experience a welcome return of warmth. Meteorologists are forecasting a noticeable shift in the weather pattern, with Friday marking the beginning of a significant warming trend across the country, according to Delfi.lt.

The upcoming days promise milder temperatures, a stark contrast to what has recently been experienced. Daytime highs on Friday are expected to reach between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius in many regions. While the coastal areas might remain slightly cooler, hovering around 10-12 degrees, the general outlook is one of significantly warmer air.

Overnight, the temperatures are also set to rise, with most areas experiencing readings above freezing point, generally between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius. However, a word of caution remains: frost is still anticipated in certain locations, particularly on the ground, with temperatures potentially dropping to 1-6 degrees Celsius below zero in specific spots. This suggests that while the air is warming, residual cold might still linger in the immediate surface layer.

The forecast indicates a decrease in precipitation, with only the easternmost parts of Lithuania expecting light rain during the night. Winds are expected to be moderate, coming from the west, further contributing to the milder conditions.
