Woman Found Dead in 3-Meter Well in Samsun; Death Ruled Suspicious

A tragic discovery has been made in Samsun's 19 Mayıs district, where a 60-year-old woman, reported missing by her husband, was found deceased in a water well. The woman, identified as S.A., had left her home the previous day and failed to return, prompting her husband to alert the emergency services.

An intensive search operation, involving local teams and neighbors, was launched to find the missing woman. Her body was eventually located in a 3-meter deep water-filled well, situated just about 50 meters from her residence. The circumstances surrounding her death are deeply concerning, especially given her prior history of psychological treatment.

In light of the unusual nature of the discovery, the local medical examiner has officially classified the death as 'suspicious.' The woman's body has been transferred to the hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
