PNB Appoints Rizal Rickman as New Group President and CEO

Permodalan Nasional Bhd. (PNB), the nation's largest fund manager, has signaled a new chapter in its leadership with the appointment of Datuk Rizal Rickman Ramli as its new President and Group Chief Executive (PGCE), effective July 1, 2026. This transition marks the retirement of Datuk Abdul Rahman Ahmad, a respected figure in Malaysia's corporate landscape, who will conclude his two-year tenure.

Rizal Rickman, currently the Deputy President and Group Chief Executive, will serve as Acting PGCE from June 1 before officially taking the helm. PNB highlighted that this appointment is a testament to its robust internal succession planning, recognizing Rizal Rickman's extensive eight-year experience within the organization. His leadership is deemed crucial for maintaining continuity and stability as PNB pursues its LEAP-6 Strategic Plan and charts future growth.

Prior to joining PNB in 2018, Rizal Rickman honed his skills at the global consulting firm Boston Consulting Group. The departure of Abdul Rahman, who previously led major corporations like CIMB Group, Ekuinas, Media Prima, and MRCB, comes as he takes on a new role as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Sime Darby Bhd. PNB expressed gratitude for Abdul Rahman's significant contributions, which have strengthened the organization's strategic focus and culture of excellence.
